FAQs

Answers to what people usually ask before their first session — if yours isn’t here, just get in touch.

Does kinesiology hurt?

No — sessions are gentle and non-invasive. You stay fully clothed on a treatment table while Tiffany uses light muscle monitoring to check in with your body; the techniques used (acupressure points, flower essences, sound, gentle bodywork) are calm rather than physically demanding. It’s closer to a relaxation session than a remedial treatment.

Is kinesiology evidence-based — how does it actually work?

Kinesiology sits in the complementary health space, not conventional medicine — it isn’t a substitute for medical care, and Tiffany doesn’t diagnose, treat or cure any condition (see your doctor for medical concerns). What it does is use gentle muscle monitoring as a feedback tool to help identify where stress is sitting in the body, so the session can be tailored to what’s actually going on for you rather than a fixed routine. You don’t need to “believe in it” for it to be worth trying.

I’m a bit skeptical / this is my first time — is that okay?

Completely normal — most people arrive a little unsure what to expect. Every session starts with a conversation about what’s going on for you, so nothing happens without you understanding it first. Read the full first-timer guide →

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people feel a shift after one session; others use the 3-session pack to work through something with more layers. There’s no set program — Tiffany will talk you through what’s coming up as you go, rather than lock you into anything in advance.

What should I wear? Do I need to prepare anything?

Loose, comfortable clothing is best — you stay fully clothed throughout, and different muscles are monitored during the session. No other preparation needed.

Are health fund rebates available?

Not currently — kinesiology rebates under private health extras aren’t available at the moment. Card, cash, direct deposit and gift vouchers are all accepted.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Free to cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours’ notice. Inside 24 hours, a 50% fee applies.

Can I buy a gift voucher for someone else?

Yes — eGift vouchers are available to purchase online. A good option if someone’s curious but hasn’t booked yet. Paper vouchers are also available — contact Tiffany by phone or in person to arrange one. See gift voucher options →

Do you offer sessions outside the listed days?

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are the regular session days — other times may be available on request, just get in touch.

What can kinesiology help with?

People come to Tiffany dealing with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, low self-esteem, feeling stuck, big life changes, or just wanting to feel more grounded and back to themselves. It’s a whole-person approach rather than a treatment for one specific diagnosis, so it suits a wide range of starting points.

Kinesiologists do not treat, diagnose or cure — please see your doctor for any medical concerns.
